The Dungog Common Recreation Reserve Trust manages the Reserve No. 1038088 at Dungog, notified on 21 February 2014 for Environmental Protection and Heritage Purposes, Public Recreation, Rural Services, Tourist Facilities and Services. For more info see the History page.

The area known as The Common (see maps here) is zoned for passive recreational use and environmental protection. It is the intention of the trust to have the area reserved and admired for it’s beauty, diversity and also for an attraction to both the people of the town and afar.

The trust would like to see the area develop into a popular tourist attraction for mountain biking, walking/running, horse riding and other recreational use.
